Editorial Standards and Methodology
Purpose and responsibility
StuckOnWordle publishes independent puzzle tools, daily Wordle help, and informational guides. The site is created and maintained by its developer, who publishes under the name John Williams. The developer develops and tests the interactive tools and reviews informational content before publication. John Williams is the publishing name used for this website and its puzzle content.
Sources and verification
For historical and game-information pages, we prefer primary sources: official game publishers, creator statements, company announcements, and direct documentation. Reputable reporting and reference sources may be used for context when a primary source is unavailable. Material factual claims are checked against available sources before publication and reviewed again when the underlying game or published information changes.
We distinguish our own gameplay advice and analysis from statements about the official games. StuckOnWordle is independent and is not affiliated with The New York Times Company or Wordle.
Daily hints and interactive tools
Daily Wordle hints are prepared from the day’s answer data and are designed to reveal progressively stronger clues without immediately disclosing the answer. Interactive tools apply rules and word-list data in the visitor’s browser to filter or evaluate possible words. Tool output is informational and may differ from an official game’s accepted-word list or future updates.
John tests changes to the tools and reviews the resulting content before publication or deployment. Where a page has a date, it indicates when it was last updated, not a guarantee that a third-party game has not changed since then.
Automation and AI
Automation is used for repeatable site tasks such as processing puzzle data, generating structured hints, and checking site freshness. Automated output is subject to human review before publication when it forms reader-facing informational content. AI may assist with drafting, editing, or research support, but it does not replace source checking or the final editorial review performed by John Williams.
Corrections
If you find a factual error, outdated statement, or tool issue, email abstractcs65@gmail.com with the page URL, the information you believe is incorrect, and a supporting source where possible. Reports are reviewed by John Williams.
When a material factual correction is made, we will update the affected page and add a concise correction note on that page describing the change and date. Minor spelling, formatting, and clarity edits may be made without a correction note.
